G.O.L.D.'s Foster Grandparent Volunteers, supervised free child care in the child care room at Department of Social Services (120 visits in 2006)
	G.O.L.D. sponsored two "Adopt a Family" Programs helping 465 needy children with school supplies and 931 needy individuals (mostly children) with holiday assistance in 2006.
	G.O.L.D.'s Emergency Baby Pantries, located in Berlin and Snow Hill were stocked with diapers, formula, wipes, ointment, toys and blankets to be given away by social workers and public case managers.
	G.O.L.D. provided Ensure and Depends to Seniors and the handicapped.

 

	G.O.L.D. helped many local citizens purchase life sustaining medications, home heating fuel, and food.
	G.O.L.D. purchased gasoline, taxi passes and bus vouchers for people needing emergency transportation.
	G.O.L.D. provided funds so one child could take "Driver's Education" and another child, Advanced Placement Exams.
	G.O.L.D. helped obtain eyeglasses and a variety of other medical equipment.
	G.O.L.D. provided emergency assistance to families facing eviction or utility cut-offs.
	G.O.L.D. delivered 241 Easter Baskets to local children in Berlin, Ocean City, Pocomoke, Snow Hill, Stockton, Ocean Pines and Salisbury in 2007.

CARING

 

	G.O.L.D. purchased birthday and graduation gifts for foster children in treatment facilities.
	G.O.L.D. sponsored summer camp scholarships for local children.
	G.O.L.D. distributed suitcases filled with toys and toiletries to children as they entered foster care.
	G.O.L.D. provided special rewards for foster children showing school improvement.
	G.O.L.D. purchased a cap and gown for a graduate who was the first in his family to finish high school.
	G.O.L.D. distributed over "Homeless Bags" (made by the Ladies of the Hibernians).
	G.O.L.D. funded prescription shoes, emergency dental fees, a car seat, emergency day care, laundry services and fumigation fees for the needy.
